Who should buy?:
This is a good book for anyone just starting out creating texture
maps for 3D images.
Book is too basic for advanced 3D artist.
Highpoints:
- Technigues can be applied in other paint programs such as Paint Shop
Pro 5
- CD based supplementary material
Lowpoints:
- Needs more description on the different image map types, (bump,
diffusion, etc).
- Does not mention UV mapping technigues.
- Could use more color photos. A lot of the usefulness of the examples it lost in
B&W
