Figure 1

This tutorial will demonstrate how you can use a magnet to conform a clothing article to the breast morph of a character.  This tutorial assumes that you know some basic operation of Poser, like using the libraries, selecting figures, etc.  I try to show every step so the tutorial is longer than most.  If you have never used magnets before then you might want to run through my basic magnet tutorial.

First select the P4 Nude Woman from the People figure library.

Next select the Halter Top Dress from the Clothing-Female library.

Conform the dress to the figure. Figure Menu then select Conform.

Figure 2

Next select the chest of the P4 Nude Woman.

Change the camera view and and position the figure as in Figure 1.

Change the Chest to Large with a value of 1.0  Dials normally on left side of screen.  You should see something like Figure 1

Next select the chest of the Halter Dress.  Look towards the bottom of the screen to make sure the Dress is selected, (Figure 2, Chest)

Go to the Object menu and select Create Magnet.  Your workspace should look like Figure 2.

Figure 3

Next select the Magnet Zone, (circle around the magnet).

Move it to the right as shown in Figure 3.  One one to only make changes to the front of the dress.

Figure 4

Change to Front View and position camera until your view looks like Figure 4.

With the magnet zone still selected change the xScale to 200%.  The effects of the magnet are less the closer you get to the edge of the zone.  So we want to make sure that the chest in  more fully affected.

Figure 5

Change back to left view.

Now select and move the magnet to the right until front of the Dress covers the breast as in Figure 5.  You may also need to move the magnet slightly up in the y direction.

I also change the magnet to wireframe so that I can see what is going on behind it.  Select Element Style at the Document Display and then select wireframe.
